Lumberton heads to World Series!

Lumberton will face a team from Texas in the first round of the Dixie Youth World Series on August 7th in Gonzales, Louisiana. Lumberton defeated Dunn in the final game of the Dixie Youth Majors state tournament to earn the right to compete in the World Series tournament. The Lumberton team includes many of the same players and coaches that earned the Runner-Up trophy for Lumberton at the 2008 World Series in the younger age group of Dixie Youth.

West Robeson earns Runner-Up!

The West Robeson Americans edged the Lumberton Americans 3-2 at the Dixie Youth AAA 2010 state tournament in Raeford. The continuation of play began in the fifth inning as a result of the sudden interruption of the game due to lightening. SouthPark captured the tournament title, while West Robeson earned the runner-up trophy. Click here for more baseball photos!
