Lumberton Boys Basketball comes up short in opener

Richmond defeated the Lumberton High School boys basketball team, 59-48, in Lumberton on Tuesday evening. It was the opening game of the season for Lumberton, while Richmond was playing in their second game.
Richmond was ahead at halftime, 27-18, and held on in the second half as Lumberton tried to force turnovers with a full court press on defense.
Lumberton's Stargell Love scored 13 points, while Kaweakai Leach added 11 points, Deonte Rogers scored 9 points, and Taurian Brown had 8 points. Also, James Floyd added 5 points, while Shamari Moore scored 2 points.
