Lumberton edges stubborn Fayetteville Kiwanis

Dixie Youth AAA Baseball - 2008 Lumberton Tournament

Lumberton held off a stubborn Fayetteville Kiwanis team to gain a 8-7 victory on Saturday evening in the first round of the Dixie Youth AAA state tournament. Fayetteville Kiwanis rallied in the final inning and had the bases loaded before Lumberton was able to end the game with a strikeout of the last batter. The Fayetteville Kiwanis team made an impressive showing in battling back from an 8-2 deficit.
