Whiteville defeats Bunn despite grand slam by Hopkins

Bunn's Dillon Hopkins hit a grand slam home run in the 6th inning, but the last-inning rally fell one run short as Whiteville held on for the victory 9-8. The teams were tied at 3 runs each in the 4th inning when Whiteville mounted an impressive six-run rally to take the lead. However, with their fans cheering them on, Bunn scored five runs in the final inning before Whiteville was able to gain the final out and escape with a one-run victory.
